Second-Stage Housing Programs
NSCSS operates SAGE Second-Stage, Janet’s Place, and Hope’s Place to provide longer-term, safe accommodations for women and children leaving domestic abuse on the North Shore.
This supportive housing program can house up to 6 families in safe and confidential independent units, and provides ongoing support to women and their children (typically for up to 18 months). Clients can be referred by NSCSS’ SAGE House, other transition houses, or a community agency. This is our most effective program as clients are provided more time and space to heal, access support, stay with their community, and rebuild as a family.
