Adolescent & Children's Empowerment Program (ACE)

The Adolescent & Children's Empowerment Program (ACE) provides services for children between the ages of three and eighteen who have witnessed abuse, threats or violence in the home.

ACE is open to children who reside on the North Shore and surrounding areas.  All services are free of charge.  The ACE provides assessments, referrals, age appropriate support groups for children and adolescents, individual counselling for children and adolescents, support to parents, group and individual counselling for parents (as time permits) and prevention activities for schools.

Through the Adolscent & Children's Empowerment Program, children and adolescents are provided services in a safe and supportive environment where they can express and explore their feelings through art, play and discussion.  Participants share with their peers, learn new coping strategies and are empowered through their experiences.

The ACE Program is funded by The Ministry of Community Services as part of Children Who Witness Abuse (CWWA) Services.

For further information on this program, please contact our CWWA Counsellor at 604.987.0366, Extension 106 or by email at cwwa@nscss.net.
